Lupine Tesla 4 - 700 Lumens

A carefully guarded secret lifted! 700 Lumens out of a 100gr lighthead! The built in PCS offers 3 steps from 12 to 1.5W, a flash mode and a low battery indicator with reserve tank function. The light was trimmed on performance, even the reflector is a custom development by Lupines. The tool for the Tesla's Hexagon reflector, named after the facets shape, was CNC-machined and not as usually coined. Lupine's unique Hexagon reflector made it possible to tune the beam pattern and provide an excellent light for night rides.

PCS V9 with built in PCS

The PCS V9 is unique and totally different to our well-known switches. On the backside of the lamp housing, the round switch made out of TPE, shines blue, red or flashes depanding on the indicator. The functions were kept to the essential and the light comes with a 3 steps dimming. The built in PCS offers 3 steps from 12 to 1.5W, a flash mode and a low battery indicator with reserve tank function.

The Tesla-4 (named after the inventor Nikola Tesla) is Lupine’s latest lighting system.

Using a Seoul Z-Power P7 single LED, the Tesla-4 has an output of 700 lumens combined with Lupine’s proprietary 13 degree Hexagon reflector which the company designed specifically to work with the Seoul P7 LED. Using just one LED has allowed Lupine to produce their smallest LED lighting system to date - the complete lamp unit including handlebar mount weighs only 100 grams.

The Tesla-4 is supplied with a small 4.5Ah Li-ion battery, designed to fit to the stem or top tube, which gives a run time of 3 hours on full power (12W), 9 hours on medium (4W, 35%) and over 24 hours on low (1.5W, 10%) setting. The complete lighting system weighs only 320 grams.

When designing the Tesla-4, Lupine paid particular attention to the beam pattern to produce an LED lighting system which is easily as bright as similar price systems on the market and is ideal for technical singletrack as well as road riding and commuting. The 13 degree beam angle also makes the Tesla-4 a good option for helmet mounting (helmet mount available separately).
